Wood Construction

Few things pop like new wood construction, especially in the context of fresh landscaping and sunny skies.

These simple, elegant steps were a no-brainer, accommodating both entry doors and restoring the area’s natural beauty.

Landscaping

The key to good landscaping work is striking a balance between improving the landscape and putting in place something that does not require a ton of maintenance.

This pond, for example, uses lava rock in its waterfall box and an upstream bog to filter and clean the pond water as it circulates.

Another exemplary element of this design is utilizing the slope of the hillside. A waterfall gracefully empties into a bog before spilling into a large pool, creating an ecosystem for plants and water critters. Look at all that color!

This backyard was totally transformed with the addition of a sleek paver patio, a few yards of mulch, and little TLC.

Masonry & Tile

Hughes:ful Projects is pleased to do stone and masonry work as well as tile work.

The pond above, for example, was created using Belgian block and rocks harvested from the woods. Similar results can be achieved with manufactured stone veneer, as seen with this simple fire pit.

The owner of this fireplace procured some marble mantel pieces in a garage sale and the next thing we knew we had a beautiful living room centerpiece.

A backsplash is a simple, effective way to upgrade the look of your kitchen without doing major damage to your bank account.

This shower area was transformed by leveling and re-tiling the shower pan.

Custom Design

Hughes:ful Projects does custom work, too, from enamel paints to unusual storage to enhancing the natural beauty of an environmental space. If you think it up, chances are we can bring it to life.
